Ana G. Galvez is a qualified Trilingual Interpreter currently serving the Los Angeles area. Miss Galvez is well acquainted with the community and culture of Mexico, having been raised in a town neighboring the Mexicali-Mexican border. Being one of the Co-founders of an orphanage in Baja California, “Fundacion Una Rosa en Belen”, she is adamantly involved in the Mexican community. Ana Galvez became exposed to American Sign Language during her freshman year in High School. From that day forward she became fascinated and passionate about the language and made it a career goal to become an American Sign Language Interpreter. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Deaf Studies with an emphasis in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting and a Bachelors of Arts in Linguistics from the California State University, Northridge. Post graduation Ana continued her ASL Interpreting education by forming part of the VRSII summer interpreting cohort. Upon graduation of this prestigious program Ana Galvez will continue her Interpreting education by attending workshops and conferences that will further enhance her Interpreting skills.
